BRIEF ON THE ANAMBRA TRADE FAIR
The coming 2016 Anambra Trade Fair, otherwise called the “Jubilee Fair” is the first of its kind since the creation of Anambra state, 25 years ago. This project is indeed a well packaged program that metamorphosed from a union of three-city Chambers in Anambra state coming together, championed by “the three wise men”, the three Chamber Presidents (under a name, the Association of Anambra Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture; a.k.a. “AACCIMA”) on the premise of “Strength in Unity”; recording this through a realized dream for singular economic objective, based on “unity of Purpose” for all concerned. This program is actually organized by the three-city Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture in the state located at Nnewi, Awka and Onitsha; by H.A. Ngonadi, President of NCCIMA, Chief (Hon) Ndubisi Nwobu, President of AWKACCIMA & Pharm. Uche Apakama, President of ONICCIMA respectively; of course not without the support of the Government of Anambra State, courtesy of the Honorable Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Commerce (Ifeatu Onejeme), who encouraged the three-city Chambers to think in that direction. The event, which is expected to be an annual Trade Exhibition (of an international standards and dimension) begins on Friday 25th November and ends on Friday 9th December, 2016. The slot as it were, fits into the NACCIMA Calendar, annually taken by the Nnewi International Auto and General Trade Fair. This year’s THEME: “To harness Anambra’s Natural Resources for Non-oil Exports, as a world-class Trade Hub”; perfectly hinges on the Federal Government’s Economic Policy of “Backward Integration” and “Import Substitution” while focusing real hard on Chief Dr. Willie Obiano’s Administration/Economic Policy through her 4 Key Economic Pillars & Enablers (Industry, Agriculture Trade & Commerce, and lastly Oil & Gas); which invariably coincides with the Chamber’s foundational mandate.
